On Wednesday 11th November, Year 6 & Year 1 walked down to Bromley War memorial to pay their respects and to lay a wreath. When we arrived we were greeted by some members of Bromley British Legion. The children stood respectfully around the memorial, some members of the choir sang ‘In Flander’s Field’ and three Year 6 children read. It was a very moving ceremony made even more poignant by the presence of Harry, a 94 year old Normandy war veteran who goes along every year to remember fallen friends.
